She did an amazing job, and so happy with how this came out.
Anyway, Odin and I were following this old map, apparently it had very specific directions and parts of it were hard to decipher, luckily Odin is good at that kind of stuff. I mostly rode on his shoulders and kept an eye out for signs of trouble. But... We went into a room full of shiny stuff and... There was a shiny that was so pretty and the same color as my eyes. I couldn't help myself and grabbed it and then suddenly...
Magical energy is released and and we find ourselves drastically reduced in size. Oops.
Map is gonna be hard to carry around now, and I don't think we're going to be taking more that a couple gold coins home in treasure now. Getting home will be an adventure in and of itself. But we've been in this situation enough times we'll figure it out.

It depends on how its designed, or what it actually is. A curse for example may only target people and not objects, so anything the person had on them is unaffected. Similar spells or rays could be effective only against organic material. So, there's plenty of reasons for clothes not to shrink with them. In this case, it's definitely a curse that targets individuals and not objects.
If you play Pathfinder or table top RPG, think of it how spells with fortitude saves (which shrinking being transmutation would be) have to have the [Object] descriptor for them to actually work on objects, otherwise they only affect creatures.
