Comics Kingdom runs a bunch of vintage comics. Among them is the 1940s run of Barney Google and Snuffy Smith. In the current storyline (also, Barney Google used to have storylines), Miz Tattersall the magic woman, has been sharing her powers of ooky-dook magic and it's produced all the poof transformations you could hope for. So here's a bit from a strip that originally ran in February 1946, and reprinted the 28th of July, 2020 [ https://comicskingdom.com/barney-go.....h-1/2020-07-28 ]. Barney Google paid Miz Tattersall to teach him the ooky-dook, and he complains it didn't work. To show the problem he tried turning Miz Tattersall into a cow. And you see where that's gotten.
Also you really see how the tongue-hanging-out motif has been a big part of the comic strip all this time.
I'm pretty happy with how this came out. The character model's fun to draw, and that bell is a good part of it. The patterns on her shirt turned out to be easier to do by flood-filling the shirt in black and then easing stars on it. Also, hey, those shoes look like shoes! That's a breakthrough for me.
