There’s no Shepard… without Vakarian.
It's been a few years since I 1. drew a turian and 2. played the mass effect OT but there is just so much love and raw emotion in Garrus' romance arc. It was my immediate go-to/switch after romancing Liara in ME1 and even to this day, it hits different. Those little moments between Garrus and Shepard are just so, so important to me sometimes. It sucks though, because nowadays games really don't put that level of depth and consideration into writing romance arcs 😰

YESSS omg... the honesty between them, the clumsy lovable realness of their romance just reaches out and gets you. I really wanted to love Andromeda and I still do like it for what concepts it brought to the IP, but not for its overall performance. Jaal is my Garrus stand-in in Andromeda xD
