Reminds me of a precocious friend of mine. He was about ten when he brought an upside down beaker in to his mom in the kitchen. "Look, I mad hydrogen!"
This got a 'that's nice, dear.' response.
"No, really! Watch!" Turned the beaker right side up and flicked a lighter.
His mother describes it as 'and the fireball headed up to the ceiling, but not as fast as I did!'
