(Continuation of part 1) I had found a diecast toy locomotive! I sloshed through the algae and weeds to retrieve my prize.
It turned out to be a diecast toy of James, the L&YR class 28 from the Thomas series. Being that it was so far from the bridge and pedal boat docks, it must have been accidentally dropped from one of the pedal boats by a child.
That would have been a very sad day for that child.
I set the locomotive on a rock, snapped this photo, then put the locomotive in my finds bag, trodding along the bottom of the lake in search of more toys to find. And would I ever be surprised! (Continued in part 3)
