Commission for

So lately I've been just swimming in commissions, and you know, it's alright! I've been working on them all at the same time, this one happens to be the first that I've finished. It's of a (currently unnamed) owl creature, sort of like a gryphon but with no lion parts, only a long neck, fluffy forearms and fairly standard bird back legs. The bird parts and color scheme was based off the barn owl.

The funny thing about this image is that before I started the barn owl was one of my least favorite owl types; I thought it looked kind of boring! But now its probably one of my favorites. I guess I never realized how cool it looks, especially the orangey brown and white color pattern. I especially like the melanoid barn owls, which are extremely rare. They're like the black guys of the barn owl world! Super awesome. :D
