Here it is guys! My latest short story with the characters' final form, just feral. I had this idea after smashing my face into a four hour car ride (and I hated it) but I love making Naomi the more devious one in the group. (Also yeah, you can tell what kind of side story is going on here)

Well, about time I used Dynamax as a Pokemon with a macro fascination. Also I'm adding new characters to my side story universes in my next short story and future short stories won't always go modern, fantasy, feral in that order. Feral will be the least used.

It was late one evening in Galar, the sun has long since fallen and a large, crescent moon dangles in the sky in it's place, the stars twinkling in the sky like flickering candles. Kajex, the Lucario wearing a purple scarf and a dark purple, eye-like mark wrapping around his right side and Rhys with a blue scarf and a blue version of the same eye on his upper left leg are currently scouring the Crown Tundra for Berries as the sun begins to fall. They've already gathered quite a few, but the snow and wind is starting to get them to shiver to their core.

"H-How much longer until we've got e-enough B-Berries f-for everyone?" shivered Kajex. "J-Just a few more Berries a-and we're d-done," Rhys replied, "H-Hopefully..."

They both pick up a few Kelpsy and Hondew Berries, mixing them in with their Sitrus, Occa, Wiki, Bluk, Pecha and Roseli Berries.

"Y-Yeah, j-just one Pinap Berry a-and we're good!" Kaje shivered.

He picks up his desired Berry.
"O-Okay!" they both shivered in relief, "L-Let's get back b-before we d-die!"

They immediately start running towards the eastern edge of the tundra.

Meanwhile...

Naomi, a Mienshao with a red scarf and a red version on the eye branding her upper left arm and Jade, a Goodra in a green scarf and a green version of the mark on the side of her neck are currently shivering in a small cave, huddled around a small fire as Naomi bites off some of her excess arm fur to keep the fire going.

"S-So cold," Jade shivered, "I-I can feel my slime freezing." "I-I can't bite off much more fur," Naomi shivered, "Wh-Where are Kajex and Rhys? Th-They've been g-gone for a-an hour."

Jade huddles closer to Naomi, clearly unable to take this much longer.

"M-Mind if we h-huddle t-together t-to stay w-warm?" Jade shivered. "G-Go ahead," Naomi replied, "I-I could use it t-too."

Jade holds Naomi tightly, already feeling how much warmer she is with Naomi.

"Y-You're so warm," Jade remarked with a soft smile.

Naomi rubs her head against Jade's stomach.

"Thanks," she smiled. "A-Almost makes me wish you we're the size-shifter instead of Kajex," Jade remarked.

That comment puts a soft frown on on Naomi's face.

"Yeah," she said somewhat disappointed, "I wish that too sometimes."

Jade looks down towards the frowning Naomi, trying to comfort her.

"D-Did I say something wrong?" she asked. "N-No," Naomi replied, "Just made me think about old thoughts."

Not old thoughts, deepest wishes for Naomi.

"I really wish it was me," she thought, "I've always wanted to see what it's like."

Then in that instant, the guys have returned, half-frozen and covered in snow with the Berries in their paws.

"S-S-So c-cold," they shivered, "W-We f-felt like we were g-gonna die!"

They awkwardly waddle over to the fire, it's heat melting the snow away.

"A-Are you two okay?!" the girls asked quite worried. "W-We're f-fine," shivered Rhys, "J-just extremely c-cold." "B-B-But we g-got enough B-Berries," Kajex shivered.

They set their Berries by the fire so that they can thaw a bit.

"If you guys want, you can snuggle with us to keep warm," Jade suggested, "Naomi is so warm." "G-Gladly!" they both exclaimed.

Everyone huddles around Naomi, already feeling ten times warmer.

"Thanks Naomi," Rhys sighed out of relief. "You're a lifesaver," Kajex finished.

Naomi holds Kajex the closest out of everyone.

"But there is one thing I can do," she thought, "One thing everyone can do."

She nuzzles her head into Kajex's shoulder, causing his cheeks to flare.

"U-Um..." he blushed, "N-Naomi?"

She realizes what she's doing and pulls her head away.

"S-Sorry!" she blushed. "What's up with your fascination with Kajex lately?" Rhys asked, "You've been doing that sort of thing for at least a week now." "She's a bit jealous of him," Jade smiled. "J-Jade!" Naomi blushed. "About what?" Kajex asked.

Naomi turns a flaming red.

"Y-Your natural size-shifting," she blushed. "Trust me, you shouldn't be," he replied, "It makes Dynamax a nightmare to deal with." "It does?" Jade asked, "Why?"

He curls up closer to Jade.

"Ever wonder why the Isle of Armor became an isle in the first place?" he blushed.

Everyone awkwardly stares at him.

"Wait... that was you?!" Rhys panicked. "Y-Yeah," Kajex blushed, "I was in a Raid, everyone else wanted me to Dynamax, aaaaand I nearly blew up the entirety of Galar."

That sparks an idea in Naomi as they start grabbing a few Berries.

"Maybe we should a do a Raid?" Naomi suggested, "And have anyone who isn't Kajex Dynamax?" "Huh?" Jade asked, "What's with the interest all of a sudden?" "I'm with Jade on that one," Rhys remarked, "Why are you interested?" "I just think we could do something that isn't us just freezing half to death," she said, "Plus, we know about Kajex's ability in the first place, so we won't make him Dynamax."

Kajex nearly chokes on some Pecha, but he hacks it up in time.

"A-Are you serious about doing a Raid?!" Kajex coughed. "I'm fine with it," Jade smiled. "Eh, I've got nothing better to do," shrugged Rhys.

They all stare at Kajex.

"Are you okay with it?" Rhys asked. "Please?" Naomi begged, "You need four Pokemon for a Raid!"

Kajex fidgets around for a second before taking a deep breath.

"Yeah, as long as it isn't me," he blushed, "W-We'll do it."

Naomi leaps over and hugs Kajex tightly.

"Thank you Kajex!" she squealed, "You won't regret it one bit!"

He lets out a soft smile as he hugs her in response.

"No problem at all Naomi," he smiled, "I'll also admit things have been feeling kind of samey lately." "Took the words right out of my mouth," sighed Rhys, "Anything is better than fighting for your life in a place like this." "So we'll do it tomorrow when the snow dies out?" asked Jade. "Definitely," smiled Kajex, "It's a promise."

After making this promise, the Berry supply quickly dropped and soon, every Berry that was gathered became a figment of one's imagination, everyone now ready to turn in for the night.

"Alright you guys know the drill," Kajex sighed, "Pass me your scarves before I grow." "I always hate this," groaned Rhys, "But it's completely fair."

The others take off their scarves, their necks feeling far colder than the outside world as they give them to Kajex.

"Pl-Please hurry," Jade shivered, "I-It's so cold." "One second," Kajex replied.

He ties the scarves around his waist before he starts concentrating.

"Stand back a second," he said as he took a deep breath. "W-We're good," Naomi shivered.

Kajex starts growing a a slow, steady rate. It goes on until he's around 30 feet tall, his head bonking on the ceiling, his foot alone able to put out the fire. He opens his eyes as he gets onto his knees.

"We'll head over to the Dynamax Den system first thing tomorrow," he smiled. "No changing that."

He lays down on his side, scooping his friends in his arms before holding them tightly, closely, and curling into a ball, his tail sliding between his legs.

"Night everyone," Kajex said as his eyes started drifting. "Night," Naomi said as she closed her eyes with a smile.

Jade buries herself in Kajex's fur.

"See you tomorrow," Jade smiled. "I'll just sleep," Rhys sighed.

Naomi has a devilish smirk for a second before burying it.

"I can't wait to turn the tables," she thought, "It'll be great."

They turn in for the night, having tomorrow be unbeknownst to them for better or worse.

That following morning...

Naomi is first to awaken, the glistening morning sun calling to her while the others snooze away.

"Guys?" she asked while rubbing her eyes, "Guys?"

She shoves Rhys over and over again.

"Leave me alone mom, five more minutes," he groaned. "Rise and shine you doofus," she replied, "It's almost Raid time!"

She vigorously shakes him until he wakes up.

"Just let me sleeeeeeep," he groaned. "Not on my watch!" Naomi replied, "Jade? Kajex?"

She's shoving Jade over and over again as she constantly bangs her head on Kajex's stomach.

"Naomi?" Jade groaned. "Who's bashing their head on my stomach," Kajex groaned. "Don't forget your promise!" Naomi smiled.

Kajex then recalls last night.

"Oh yeah," he blinked, "The Raid."

He lets go of everyone, letting them get on their feet before sitting upright.

"Come on!" Naomi squealed with excitement, "We're heading out!"

Kajex shrinks back to his usual, tiny self just before giving everyone their scarves back.

"Can we at least have breakfast first?" Jade groaned. "We'll pick up some Berries on the way!" Naomi smiled, "Come on!"

Naomi is the first to dart out of the cave full of energy.

"Remember last night?" Rhys said as he smacked his face, "About Naomi saying we wouldn't regret this?" "Yeah," Kajex sighed as he tightened his scarf. "I think I'm going to regret this," Rhys sighed. "How so?" Jade asked. "Just a feeling," Rhys replied.

They can see Naomi already dozens of feet ahead of them.

"Come on guys!" she yelled, "Hurry up!" "We're coming!" Kajex replied, "Just give us a second to get our bearings!"

They press onward.

A good while later...

The group has finally arrived at the Dynamax Den system, it glowing with Galar Particles. The glow and the snow recreating a sunset at the entrance.

"Alright," Kajex began, "We're only going one layer in, then we're getting out." "Who knows, maybe you'll want to do another one when we're done," Jade smiled. "Doubt it," shrugged Rhys, "Once he sets his mind to one ideal, he won't change it."

Naomi grazes her hand against the edge of the entrance.

"One's all I need," she thought.

She takes a step inside as the others take notice.

"H-Hey!" Jade panicked, "Wait a sec Naomi!"

The others catch up to her.

"Whoops," Naomi blushed, "S-Sorry. I got a bit carried away there." "No worries," Jade smiled, "We know you're just excited."

Kajex places his hand on Naomi's shoulder.

"We're right behind you, but don't try to move too far ahead," Kajex smiled. "I'll keep it in mind," Naomi blushed.

Kajex takes a step inside.

"Come on," he said, "Let's get this over with."

The others follow as they make their way deeper into the caves as the air grows thick with Galar Particles.

"Feels very awkward to breathe," Rhys remarked, "Borderline steam in here." "I hear you," Kajex replied, "Felt like this last time myself."

They soon come up to a fork in the road, leading in 4 directions.

"Which way should we go?" Jade asked.

Naomi walks towards the one with the slightly bigger entrance, the far left.

"Let's do this one!" she squealed.

The others walk up to it.

"You wanted to come here, so we'll do it your way," Kajex remarked, "Come on guys."

They head down the path.

"Let's see how this goes does," Rhys said, "Been waiting to let my Stone Edge loose." "Think that Stone Edge can handle my Meteor Mash?" Kajex smirked. "Draco Meteor," Jade smirked, "I'm waiting."

They soon arrive at the main room to be face-to-face with a Dynamax Weavile.

"Excellent choice Naomi!" Rhys said as he cracks his knuckles, "We can handle this one no problem." "N-Not me!" Jade panicked, "I-Ice Types make mince meat out of me!"

The Weavile grows agitated at the argument in front of it.

"Who'll Dynamax to take care of this thing?" Kajex asked as he began to sweat. "I-It'd be a waste on me," Jade blushed, "And you can't so uh..."

Rhys takes a confident step forward.

"I'll gladly use i-" he began.

Naomi is focusing on absorbing the Galar Particles for a Dynamax.

"Nope!" she squealed, "I'm doing it!" "Aww..." Rhys groaned, "I wanted to do it!" "She is the one who suggested it," Kajex remarked, "I'd understand if she wanted to Dynamax, plus, she's quad effective." "Still..." Rhys pouted.

Her body begins to glow red as she begins to grow. and stir the air around them.

"Still better than me," Jade sighed with relief. "And especially me," Kajex blushed. "But I wanted to do it!" Rhys pouted, "Naomi gets all the fun!"

The ground is cracking under her weight, a Dynamax storm forming just above her.

"Alright guys you ready?" Naomi asked as she stopped growing, her head just barely lower than the entrance. "Read-" the others started.

Before anyone can even use a single move, Naomi scoops up everyone and darts out of the caverns, leaving the Weavile very confused.

"N-Naomi!" her friends panicked, "Wh-Where are you going?!"

She can't help but to smile and giggle towards her puny friends as she climbs out of the caverns.

"You three fell for it!" she giggled. "Fell for what?!" Rhys panicked. "Yeah," Jade squirmed, "What?!"

Kajex however, puts two and two together from the night before.

"All you wanted was to Dynamax!" Kajex realized, "Just to do this?!" "Bingo!" Naomi smiled, "Kajex got it!" "Oh for real?" Rhys sighed as he begrudgingly face palmed, "Of course that's what happened."

Naomi gets back on her feet as she break off some of the entrance to the caverns and leaves craters for footprints in the snow.

"H-Huh?" Jade said confused, "But why would you want this when Kajex could give you one whenever?" "Because I want to be giving the big hugs!" Naomi smiled, "Not just to Kajex, but everyone!"

Her tail is wagging so fast she's blocking the caves up with a blizzard.

"Plus, didn't everyone say my coat was nice and warm?" she smiled.

All three of them turn bright red.

"Y-Yeah..." they blushed, "We did say that."

She nuzzles everyone against her cheek.

"So now you're all mine until my Dynamax wears off!" Naomi squealed, "Isn't that wonderful?! Now all of you get to be all nice and snug in my fur!"

Kajex is blushing hardcore at that thought.

"Y-Yep," Kajex blushed, "I-I get to be snug in your fur..."

He shrinks a little bit.

"Uh... Kajex?" Rhys said, "Are you losing control of your powers again?" "P-Probably," Kajex blushed, "B-But uh..."

Kajex continues to shrink.

"Kajex?" Jade began, "You're still shrinking." "J-Just let me shrink," he said, "Naomi's fur feels so good." "Awww," Naomi smiled, "You're always so cute when you shrink!"

She plucks Kajex's shrinking body and plops him on her snout.

"U-Um... th-thanks Naomi," Kajex blushed, "I-I really appreciate it."

She plops the other two on each of her shoulders.

"So um... what now?" Jade asked. "W-Well uh..." Naomi blushed, "I-I haven't really thought that far ahead." "Sadly, that does kind of sound like you," sighed Rhys.

Naomi squishes Rhys by gently pressing down on him.

"Says you!" she teased. "H-Hey!" Rhys replied somewhat agitated, "St-Stop that!'

She quickly stops as to not actually hurt him.

"Then don't tease me next time," she countered, "Or maybe I won't be so lenient with the squishes!" "O-Okay!" Rhys countered, "I get it!"

Kajex is no bigger than Naomi's nose by the time his shrinking stops.

"Naomi's fur," he said in a dazed tone, "So warm and cuddly, I almost don't want it to end."

Naomi blushes in a shade of red almost as dark as her Dynamax aura.

"U-Um..." she said quite embarrassed, "Th-Thank you Kajex." "Awww," Jade said, "You two compliment each other!" "D-Don't make me squish you too," Naomi blushed.

Other Pokemon are starting to stare at Naomi very oddly.

"Hey uh... can we go anywhere else?" Rhys asked, "You're getting the attention of the whole Crown Tundra." "O-Oh, w-we can!" Naomi blushed.

Naomi starts running away from the area.

A good while later...

Everyone finds themselves just outside the cave they call their home, but with a Dynamax Naomi sitting in front of it and holding her friends hostage in her paws, except for the dazed Kajex on her snout.

"Can uh... can you set us down?" Jade asked, "I'm getting a little nauseous." "Nope!" Naomi smiled, "You three are mine until this wears off like I said!" "I'll just sleep through the whole thing," groaned Rhys.

Rhys tries to take a nap, but Naomi shakes him vigorously.

"No sleeping!" she squealed, "You're mine!"

Kajex however, is burying himself into the fur on Naomi's snout like a young Riolu.

"Feels so nice," Kajex said in a dazed tone, "I almost never want this to end."

Her blush is hidden by her Dynamax aura.

"I really like it when you say that Kajex," she blushed.

Rhys is trying to screw his head on straight after that shake up while Jade tries to keep her breakfast down.

"I still feel like I'm about to puke," Jade groaned.

Naomi sets the other two down on her lap and starts petting her microscopic friend.

"Awww," Naomi blushed, "You're so adorable Kajex! You're like a Riolu again!" "Thanks," he replied as he buries himself deeper, "I miss those days." "Why's he so cute when you're the big one?" Jade asked. "It's Kajex we're talking about," Rhys said, "A walking enigma."

Naomi begins to smile.

"And don't we all like him that way?" she smiled, "Small, quiet, lovable, and definitely huggable, yet secretive and uneasy?"

Jade's stomach is correcting itself as Rhys gets his head on straight.

"I think you like him a little too much Naomi," the two said, "Maybe you two should just start dating already!"

Naomi's blush is seeping through her aura again, but Kajex doesn't care at all.

"N-No I don't!" she panicked, "I-I don't like him that way!" "Yes you do," Jade teased. "It's kind of obvious," Rhys
shrugged.

Naomi squishes the both of them to quiet them down.

"Sh-Shut up!" Naomi panicked, "D-Don't start lying!"

She stops squishing them and then presses them against her stomach.

"Whatever you say Naomi," Rhys snickered. "I'm super effective against you Rhys," Naomi said, "And you'll get hit with a Max move, so I'd quiet down and enjoy the ride."

Rhys begins pouting like a small child who didn't get the toy they wanted.

"I'm so glad we're never going to do this again," Rhys sighed out of relief. "YOU'RE never doing this again," Naomi said, "I know Kajex and Jade wouldn't mind." "Y-Yeah..." Jade blushed, "Just don't be so rough next time." "Promise!" Naomi replied.

Rhys is just trying to break out of Naomi's grip to no avail.

"At least Kajex respects my wishes and doesn't hold me hostage," Rhys pouted. "We know you like it when he has to be out bed," Jade teased, "I see you trying to hide in his fur"

Rhys is trying to ignore everyone, but fails misrebly in doing so.

"Please just stooooooop!" he panicked, "I clearly don't do that!" "Sure you don't," the girls said.

Rhys tries to break out again.

"Just stop saying it please!" he struggled, "I'm begging you!" "Fiiiiiine," the girls said, "We'll stop."

Rhys lets out a sigh of relief.

"Later," Jade joked. "Not funny!" Rhys panicked.

Naomi goes back to petting Kajex with a smile.

"I never want this to end either," Naomi mumbled, "You guys look so cute down there. Especially you Kajex."

Kajex inches closer to her eyes and snuggles into her fur again.

"We'll do this as many times as you want," he said in a dazed tone, "Whenever you want. Promise."

She snuggles Kajex against her snout with a bright smile, Kajex himself in a trance.

"Thank you Kajex," she smiled, "You're so sweet."

Jade and Rhys try to keep their comments to themselves.

"Well, I guess we're stuck here," Jade said, "So we'll try to make the most of it."

Naomi gives Jade neck cuddles.

"I'll be sure to," Naomi smiled, "Because I love having you three be so tiny! Well... maybe not Rhys..." "I can hear you!" Rhys said agitated, "I'm pretty sure everyone for like a mile can hear you!"

Jade thinks outside the box with Rhys's dialogue.

"So you want to be called cute?" Jade teased. "Why yes I- WAIT A MINUTE!!!!" Rhys replied, "JADE!!!!!"

Jade starts laughing.

"I knew you liked this!" Jade laughed. "Just be quiet!" Rhys blushed.

Naomi squeezes Rhys tightly in her hand.

"Awww," Naomi said, "But you do look cute when you're mad Rhys." "Please stop!" Rhys struggled.

Naomi eased up.

"Better?" Naomi asked. "... Better," Rhys blushed.

Kajex looks down at Rhys.

"You do look quite cute Rhys," Kajex continued in his trance. "Don't get started Kajex," Rhys blushed. "I won't," Kajex replied, "But you two are extremely cute." "Thanks Kajex," Jade smiled.

Naomi looks directly at Kajex.

"You're still the cutest one here," Naomi smiled. "No, It's you Naomi," Kajex replied with a genuine smile.

Jade buries herself deeper as Rhys gives up trying to break free.

"Please just let this Dynamax end," Rhys groaned. "Just sit back and enjoy the ride Rhys," Kajex said in his trance, "It's a ride you definitely don't want to miss."

Jade and Kajex get comfy again.

"And it's a ride you all get front row seats to," Naomi smiled, "Every time."

They all try to relax under the morning sun, letting their worries melt away with their Dynamaxed friend letting it all fall with the light snow...
