Karen isn't a human/fox or vaguely animal in the sleightest, the only thing belonging to the human planet is the components of her dna that gives her this shapely bipedal form.



Karen is a Vuldra
Vuldra are massive fox like creatures that are not only very inteligent but are also quite powerful, typically their bodies are muscle bound and harness light energy naturally. In high stress cases their eyes glow and stripes form in their short fur coat. Karen specifically is classed as a Comprovuldra, Vuldra is a name derived from the fox like appearance as well as the planet they hail from: Vulpine/Draxen. Comprovuldra are Composite Vuldra made from a mix of human and vuldra dna, vastly leaning toward vuldran, meaning she has VERY little in common with humans when you dig in to her internals, they are black to start with, her energy storage and refinement cores sit in her chest(yes, her boobs...) Karens heart has a cartoonish love heart look to it, and has some serious psi behind it. She possesses a single liver like core with an evolved version of mitochondria in it secreting the energy rich liquid that can form change into the light element. worth mentioning that she has 3 toes because ALL vuldra only have that many on their hind legs and have 4 with the dead thumbs up front, that translates to the compro forms.

Leaning into that, this liver like core, the Helios, builds energy on a scale relative to how hard the body is working, Once the body is in its high stress state, the energy pressure is too great for the flow to continue, so at this point, a Vuldra has 2 options, exist in pain for a few minutes and calm down to regain flow, or force the flow through the refinement cores and into the body systems as raw unrefined energy, causing a MASSIVE bump in power at the expense of overall stamina. That is when the eyes and the stripes come in to play

Karen has mastered her body at this point though, and has done what few can do, manage to tap into dormant features the vuldra have due to the protovuldra that came eons before them, before the modern vuldra, protovuldra had ways to fly, and vent the helios pressure. Karen here has the wings and venting gills out, energy control is far more possible due to that. Its important because if a regular vuldra goes into what is known as Nova form without being able to vent the pressure, it will out pace the body until it exhausts all available energy and they are forced into sleep to gain new energy.
