Random idea I had that I felt fit a bunch.
Rolan but as a DnD Anthro Bat Cleric, a devout follower of Pelor, god of the sun.
He's a good guy who wants to heal and help where he can, also can fry undead with beams of light so he has that going too.
This Rolan has some key differences to sona Rolan, so he's technically a different character.

You're right about adaptability, that's why I love it so much. You can focus on offense, buffs or healing. You can stay back and nuke stuff like a wizard or charge in there like a warrior clad in armor and tank. They are incredibly versitile. Its all about how you build him. Also blade barrier may be one of the most devastating spells ever lol
