Comache, the neutered male quasi-feral wolf I got as a rescue. His entire litter was not socialized in the least when they were dumped on me. He's the only one I was able to keep from escaping from any enclosure I made for them (well... he *DOES* escape, but he always comes back. Getting him back into the pen, tho, is a challenge that would test the patience of Ghandi).
What you see behind him on the ground, and secured to the fence, is 4 guage hog panel. As you can see, they still try to dig through the holes of it, and Stormy has even figured out how to dig inside where the panels don't cover and go *UNDER* them to get out. I have to make a careful inspection of the pen every day to see what new escape routes they've craftily thought of.
Right now Stormy's den actually goes under the back fence of the enclosure, so I have to make sure she doesn't try to dig *UP* from inside. Luckily the homeowners who originally built the place were litterbugs. There's an amazing collection of stuff buried out back. Down in the back of Stormy's den is an entire roll of fencing material that's gods know how old.
