She had to stop for rest, though both her legs and her heart wanted to run from all things that had grown familiar during her time with the Valley Pack. Figuring that no one would notice her on edge of the neighboring pack's territory, she sat in a single beam of moonlight, the silver and blue beam muting the colors of her pelt.
"So it's true what the Runners said," remarked the feminine but strong voice that materialized beside the eastern timberwolf. "You turned down the pack initiation." It was more of a question than a statement.
Wielder tossed her head to the side, giving a crude parody of a chuckle. "No matter what I do, I'll never be anything but a DOG to them, a city-born cur," she nearly growled. "It's true what I've always heard, my fate is as unchangeable as the stars that look down on us, Dissy."
The large gold kissed black wolf laughed heartily, causing Wielder to look over her shoulder incredulously. "And you DOGS call us backwards and outdated?!" Once her amusement had ended, she continued her lesson to the timberwolf that had become her Sister. "Even our oldest Elders know that stars die, and stars are born. Nothing in the sky is fixed."
Wielder's white rimmed ears turned towards Discord as her voice became centuries older than she herself was. "And neither is your fate. If you leave now, understand that it is your choice. Fate does not move you, you move it."

One day--you will submit so much art, that I'll be able to piece the entire story of Wielder together based off of your descriptions I look forward to that day!

If I may be a stupid face and crit a bit, I can't say I'm a big fan of those stars. You'd probably have a better result if they were simply pinpoints/dots of some sort... perhaps airbrush dots so they're a little fuzzy or hard brush dots with an outer glow turned on. I love the clouds though.
Also, I'd love to see a tree in the background. My mind is just running away with this x3 BUT if you're interested in listenin', I feel like there's a lot of empty unaltered space around Wielder there. No clouds or stars or shapes or anything. I feel like, if there was just a dark silhouette of some sort- maybe not a tree, maybe a city instead, idk, but something suggesting a horizon with stuff on it... Not only would it ground both characters so they don't feel like they're floating out in space (lol space wolves CLAIMING THE UNIVERSE THROUGH ARTS ONE GALAXY AT A TIME), but I feel like it would put a nice bit of contrast between the lighter colors of Wielder-face and the dark background shape whateverithappenedtobe. It's just that Dissy is so... O HAI THAR in the camera, seems like some attention to Wielder via an extra dosage of contrast would do the composition good.
Then again, maybe I'm a terribly biased fantard of yours. idk. X3

I still find it hard to believe that you like my stuff as much as I absolutely adore yours. It's a very humbling thought that just DOES NOT COMPUTE. x3 But, you know I'm always out here... somewhere. lol If you ever need any help with anything digitally, I've always got some advice to throw up in your face. ;3

I LOVE the choice of highlights you used as it really set them both in a good night setting. Also, I love how Dissy is so delightfully fat and poofy-- she looks PERFECT. Wielder's expression is pretty amazing too-- saying so many things by not saying anything at all.
