SCARS OF LOVE : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3tkyzkL1nQ
A character design for a Servant of the Abyss of the Wise Men of Nimyar Un, a cult-like faction for "Sanctum" ruling over the eastern mountain ranges of the continent.
Originally a subsection of the High Kirk, the eponymous clergyman Nimyar Un allegedly found the most sacred site of the cult on his pilgrimage across the lands of the continent: the Whispering Abyss, a bottomless pit in the depths of the mountains, a primal void reaching down far below into the guts of the world which no one has ever seen the ground of. Sinking its grasp into his mind upon awakening from an unfathomably long slumber, it augured the coming a golden age for its servants. He was shown rich visions of this world as a decaying body of a dead god, its bones towering in the skies for everyone to see as a reminder of its sacrifice for the mortals to grant them life in the wake of destruction.
Now, this God was coalescing again, churning deep down below in the gestating bottomless depths, awaiting its return. And it was Nimyar Un’s duty to pave the way.
Not long after, the Wise Men, followers of his vision and doctrine of a golden age, split from the High Kirk, and ever since have been in conflict with it, while their culture rapidly diverged from the ways of the ancient church. Dwelling in their cities carved into the harsh mountainscape, rituals and sacrifices in constant reverence of the Whispering Abyss and its gifts dominate their life. To them, beauty lies in every aspect of the arcane nature of the dead god’s body they believe they live in, in its seemingly bizarre and gargantuan lithic forms and shapes so far removed from anything a mortal might consider a bodily organ. Truly, there is beauty in the Unknowable, hence only priests of the highest ranks might venture into the Whispering Abyss itself, never able to reach the bottom and find The One to grant them their visions, never to find truth - but maybe return with a gracious gift it has granted them.

The helmety design certainly looked intriguing in that lil' sketch you had up on your channel. A nice angular hat.
Also, the certainly did not get the "no capes" memo. Or maybe they got it and went "don't tell me what to do"
...is this just a side effect of the particular characters you happened to have drawn thus far, or is Sanctum setting all cervine-caprine folk?

Thank you! I tried to get down a bit of a distinct look with the combo of that helmet (originally a mask, didn't work, so angular bowl helmet it was) and the usual flowy robe and cape spam on everything I do. I can't help myself.
And yeah, the slice of the Sanctum setting I tackle only has cervine and caprine folk, also including some important animals like the mount from the last image. This obviously excludes all the Funky Gods Stuff in the setting, which have presences and forms going beyond that.

The latter, they think the Titan everything is set on is a dead god that will sprout back to life somewhen.
The ones to worship the old god that was killed in the distant past are the High Kirk guys (linked in the description, the dudes with the horns on the head lol). Both of these faction are also enemies and consider each other heretics, and things get nasty.
The Sword kind of tries to stay out of the mortal business of both as a neutral party, but that doesn't always work for reasons.
