I’m going to juggle two stories. This one takes place 5 years after the events of “the Futures Past’ This is like a sandwich :3 I give you two pieces of bread and you get to choose what goes in the middle; Different characters and a different setting.
Apotheoses
The world has gone to hell; Famine, disease, death and destruction replete the streets of Moscow. Now that War destroyed 3/4th of Russia and all of America, No major powers were present to stop the spread of chaos that slowly enveloped the entire world. The blue marble in space is now just a withering planet on the brink of total annihilation. Many people chose to either run and hid or prey for salvation. Well I did something different. Where most chose God, I chose my .475 Magnum

Journal entry 1 2015, January 18th. Food supply: Minimal. Ammo supply: Critical
I’ve been at this for along time; a hell of a lot longer then this first Journal entry. The only reason why I’m doing this is because I need something to do during my down time. Millions of people are dead and those that are left are pure savages. Just one year ago, a new virus emerged. This further helped the collapse of the world economy. I know that if you’re infected, there’s a 90% chance that you WILL die. Then there’s the 10% chance that you survive, but you end up like one of those things outside. I try my best to survive, Stay hidden, well armed, good common scents and keeping loyal to the one rule of survival; never trust anybody.
I could probably survive another day or two before having to stock up on food, but my ammo is down to almost nothing, I only have two clips of .475 Wildey Magnum ammo, Three clips of M4 SOPMOD ammo, and only one clip of Swedish PSG-90 .308 Winchester ammo. I need to restock if I want to survive; and it seems the only way to do so is to take a 2 mile long trip to the heart of the town.
The streets are paved with wrecked cars, collapsing buildings and those ‘things’ which attack anything that crosses there path. The smell of blood stained fur and rotting flesh engulf my nose every time I attempt to go outside. I know that I’m risking my life by taking the chance to go to the very same store in which I was first attacked.
Just two weeks ago I had two companions; Fred, a pitch black wolf, about 6’1’ and Kindle, a mesmerizing lioness of 22, two years younger then me. Both Fred and Kindle were killed by a ‘Cleaning squad’ that was sent here to eradicate the virus from this area. This meant killing everything that moved. Let’s just say that, that plan did not work out as well as the Ovo corp. had intended.
The Ovo Corporation was Researching a way to synthesis Stem cells from mature cells. They had a couple ‘bad’ experiments in which they discarded. These dumbasses ‘accidentally’ discarded the ‘bad’ experiments into a landfill. Somehow the virus found it’s way into the water lines that lie under the massive city of Manhattan and in just a couple of months, the virus had infected almost half of the United States. Military action was needed to single out the ‘uninfected’ and get them on the next plane to South America. This virus, unexpectedly, traveled trough the air and was undetectable by almost anything, except for a brain scan. Most of the people that the military tested were in fact infected themselves. All of this, combined with the war between the U.S and Russia, helped the spread. Planes unexpectedly carrying infected passengers flew from South America to Russia. Russia, at the time, was completely virus free.
I see that Russia didn’t stay ‘virus free’ for long because after just one month after my arrival almost the entire state of Russia was infected. I know that there are still some survivors out there, but I never trust anybody. The only way to know if someone IS infected is to give them a brain scan and at the moment, I’m short a CAT scanner. I hope that one day this will all come to an end, but at the moment it’s either kill or be killed. And I’m short on ammunition.
