Seybar is a mercenary but not unprincipled as is commonly believed. The hyena has its own views, beliefs about what is right and what is not. And he never encouraged cruelty and hatred but that doesn't mean that he should be considered weak in this regard.
Seybar was able to stand up for himself but not everything and everyone around him.
