yup!
Erro_Kioslem made her look.
❤️
i was actually amazed at how cute
Erro_Kioslem made her look. 😅
Many can't literally help it. I have shown this to some (consenting) arachnophobes https://www.furaffinity.net/view/37310581/ and they said it's nice at first glance but the more they look at it the more it makes them shiver.
I can understand that...
But she seems so insecure. And she's obviously going out of her way to make sure people are informed about what they'll see, before she startles them by going on camera.
With all the insulting talk that the viewers were already throwing around and then this, I feel terrible for her. One of them is still both missing the point and insulting her, by saying her scream of alarm is really just a "crappy" special effect!

Aw, poor lady... D:
I am a bit arachnophobic in a way, but mostly due to the behaviour of spiders, rather than their looks. My biggest concern is that they will bite with little to no provocation, which, in the case of more poisonous ones, is definitely something to be worried about.
However... this lady clearly has a different mindset than most other spiders, able to calmly reason and not act on purest instinct. That alone would make me treat her with a lot more respect. In fact, Kudos to her for trying to show her real self... she looks adorable in her bashful state there...
Well... I'll hope things improve for her over time... Come on, Humanity, don't let me down by being a bunch of biased arses... A little shock is fine, but... get over it soon...!

this was a bit of mistake in my storywriting, it should have been implied that she fell because she showed one of her feet so the other 3 could not keep her gripped to the ceiling.
😅👍💖
nobody got that soooo obviously i failed to show that, even if it felt easy to understand for me.
They won't bite without provocation. Unless you're dealing with one of those insane Australian funnel web spiders, you actually have to provoke them a LOT. All North American species' first response when disturbed is to run away, or drop to the ground and play dead. They'll bite as a last resort but you have to be touching them for that to work.
Only two North American spiders have venom toxic enough to be dangerous: The brown recluse (or "fiddleback" or "violin spider") and the black widow.
I've been bitten on the foot a few times by the common brown house spider - because they were hiding in my shoe and I forgot to shake it out before putting it on. The bite itches intensely for the first day and makes a red spot like a bug bite. The second day it hurts like any small wound would. After that it forms a blister that's prickly-feeling if you press on it but if you leave it alone you won't feel it at all. After a few days the blister breaks, leaving a small crater that looks freaky but doesn't hurt. The crater will scab over, and after a while the scab will fall off and there will be fresh new skin underneath; no trace of the spider bite remains. The whole process takes about a week to 10 days.

Thank you for the info. ~u ~
Back in New Mexico where I grew up, we had quite a few brown recluses and black widows, and you heard nasty stories about them now and then.
Fact is, when I encounter a spider, I do indeed try to give it a wide berth so as to not startle it, while attempting to let it just go about it's business. My favorites are actually the fuzzy and energetic "wolf" spiders... :D
But yeah, I will take this info to heart, then, and be kind even to the widows and recluses in the future. I might relocate them though, so I don't have a shoe based incident... X3

Yeah, I used to be so arachnophobic I couldn't get within 6 feet of one, but since 2012 I've lived in the basement of a house next to a swampy overgrown lot. There are spiders in here all the time, and I've gotten pretty comfortable with most of them. Spherical brown American house spiders I leave alone unless they're in my way. Small black jumping spiders are the cutest - I always let them go about their business. Brown striped wolf spiders come wandering in (they're clumsy); I catch them in a jar and toss them outside.
European house spiders I can't stand, and I smoosh whenever I find them. They have a cylindrical body that looks like a piece of twig, and long spindly legs. Unlike the American spider which lurks very sensibly in out-of-the-way corners, the European ones like to set up webs right in the middle of where I need to be. If you disturb the web, the spider will start gyrating, spinning rapidly in a circle (they think this makes them invisible.) If you start really demolishing the web, then the spider drops to the ground and scurries for cover. UGH, I hate the way they move, like one of those Combine walkers from Half-Life 2...
It's handy to have a "spider stick" - a lightweight piece of wood about a yard (or a meter) long for knocking down webs, and I always check my shoes & knock them against the floor to shake out any critters before putting them on.
Black Widow venom is a neurotoxin that can cause your body's vital systems to shut down .. sometimes. I know people who've been bitten by them and suffered no ill effects. Brown Recluse venom is a protein-dissolving meat tenderizer that causes flesh necrosis. It spreads from the bite location, causing a nasty open wound that gets bigger & deeper over the course of a few hours, and takes a LONG time to heal. Good idea to learn what these two spiders look like so you can identify & avoid them.
Just remember if you run into one, what it WANTS to do is get away, not bite you.
