The young slime was an orphan who lost her mother when she was nothing more than a small blob. A wizard happened upon her grievance. Taking pity on her, he decided to take her along with him to his abode. Unlike most goo creatures he's come across, there was something different, distinct about this one. Was it the look in her eyes or perhaps something within? For the remainder of her childhood, she learned all she could from him, from human language to his very own spellcasting. Despite being such a simple lifeform, she was learning and growing at an exponential rate, even going so far as to assume a humanoid shape. By the time she was in her late teens, she had even learned to change herself to appear as if her shape grew with age. She was almost done with her mage training. Unfortunately, it would be cut short when her master was confronted by angry villagers from suspicion of harboring a monster. He had told her to hide some place safe while he would confront the . They set his home alight , but the slime was able to preserve one book before going off to save her master. She manages to arrive at the village just before they had tied him to a stake to be burned. The already enraged folk were thrown into a hysteria upon seeing her and attacked. She was prepared to cast a spell but her master told her to stand down and not harm them, despite his predicament. Instead, she began to rely on her own innate slime abilities, detaching sizable pieces of herself to create her own creatures to fend them off. Slipping past the angry mob, she protests asks as to why he didn't fight back, to which he replied that doing so would already confirm that he was guilty of wrongdoing. He knew that he was not to take a monster into his care and decided to pay for the consequences if anyone found out. She protested against it and attempts to free him, but casts a fire spell to burn the steak and him along with it. In desperation, she rips the bonds tying him to the post and practically drags him away. Knowing that the two would be hunted, he would finish her training before the two would have to part ways, fearing for her life...
