It's in the front just behind the twin gatlings...view is controlled by three cameras integrated into the turret which turns with the pilots field of view...

Ah, ok. Thats why the thing has no windows. Dont know, but that could get bad wehn the cameras get damaged or something, I mean, in the future it should be possible to install bullet proof plexiglass or some other sort of transparent material in an aircraft, dontcha think?

Plus you have to hit the cameras first to damage them and that's not so easy, stuff is built pretty robust in that time ^^

Having the cockpits completely surrounded by the craft would be safest for the pilots. In the future they probably have some kind of high-frequency imaging system. That can recreate the surrounding environment on the cockpits interior surfaces... or even holographically? Man, imagine being able to zoom out and view your craft in miniature flying in front of you across the moving landscape? Being able to see the enemy craft slip in behind you - could be handy in dogfights for avoiding attacks from behind and timing avoidance manuevers...

Yup...the si'itians use a 360° ^3 imaging system in their nasti'in landing craft (explainations on this will follow if you want them)...It projects a virtual image of the exact view outside of the ship to the inside for the pilot and the transported agents...

Todays, yes...for the lower firerate these have three, also for weight and material issues...

It does...that's why you can't use a high firerate cuz you'd probably bust thinner barrels with overheating and the vibration (not mentioning pressure)...the basic idea was lower firerate with higher accuracy and punch...

looks like it works. have you seen the new steel rain that has come out recently. they just pack a bunch of rounds into one tube, than ignite them in sequence, supposed to have a fire rate 5 times more than anything else.

Yeah, but you have to change the entire tube, which kinda puts me off...plus the first round you fire is less accurate than the rest, which is kinda the reverse effect of what you need ^^

but its awsome for supression fire. get 50 tubes on a rack and light the fuse, noone is lookin around anymore, their like, OMFG its the metalocalypse!! yes i believe in it and hope it comes soon.
