I don’t know if you are open for some thoughts.
I think, you get the idea of how a head looks like, but it seems like you don’t look. What I mean with that is, that you try to draw from Imagination and that is the hardest part about drawing. Maybe don’t start there just yet.
Forgot where I heard it but; if you put a child in a room with only a pen and a paper and ask it to draw a tree, it will draw it from Imagination and it will look like what you think a childs drawing of a tree looks like. But if you put it in front of an actual tree, the child will actually improve within seconds of just looking at the actual tree.
I don’t know if your goal was to try to draw from imagination or not, but if it was, it’s the hardest way to learn it.
Maybe try and use references, but don’t just copy paste what you see but try to use what you have in front of you as a reference for positioning, angle, light, shades, ect.
In that way you will understand what you draw.
