Humpty Dumpty, as the other part of a request by Sweetlovelynight on DeviantArt. I was heavily inspired by Scott Gustafson’s illustrations of the character, particularly the powdered wig in his design.

The original Humpty Dumpty was not an egg, but a cannon! During the battle of Colchester in the English Civil War, the Royalists tried to beat the Roundheads into surrendering by using Humpty, which was one very powerful cannon! But the Roundheads threw everything but the kitchen sink at Humpty, which was on a city rampart. The cannon fell to the ground and got busted! The Cavalier forces (the King's horses and the King's men) could not repair it!
