it was! I love this game so much because the AI and dialogue is a work of art.

Now I have to figure out how to keep my dog out of the beer stash. Normally for human colonists I chop off both their legs and install peg-legs on them once they behave, but can't do that with my puppy (without mods at least)

What I've done is that there's a mod to lock the doors, and you can set it so the humans are the only ones that can go through by setting them as the owners and *NOT* having the animal door setting on. Not that I've needed to because I haven't brewed beer, but it works keeping them out of the freezer to eat food themselves and make them eat where I have the animal's feeder set.

I just set up a zone, mark all the things I do not want them to get into and then invert said zone :) It works wonders and Little Stargazer was at 75% withdrawal until a raid showed up and I accidentally just put all my pets into the safe zone (which includes the freezer). So Stargazer was boozed up and had ambrosia warmth to booth when the raid was over. Turns out animals don't get mental breaks from withdrawal, only daze if something affects their brain enough - but they don't eat while in a daze as far as I am aware.

I did have to install the animal-prosthetics mod though, because his liver failed from all that beer
