Yep. It is to sigh. Replaying Majora's Mask on an Emu at the mo, honestly, of all the games in the series, that was my favorite, mostly because of how hard the last boss is without the special power up. And then the ending, which is...well, it's there, unlike some of the other Zelda games, which have next to no ending.
Demon link! Yeah, awesome, the story, the three day system, the characters, all so great and fun. Sad that so few games go the route that one did, especially the last few Zelda's which have run the gamut from being too simple, to too complex, and everything in between, nothing like that again. Though, going back to our other discussion, it really is the ending that made that one great. An ending makes or breaks a game to me. It has to wrap up the story, and be meaningful. Twilight Princess' ending was neither, though it couldn't wrap up the story as that was kind of an after thought in that game. Didn't play either of the DS games, though i've been considering it.
I've honestly never been really big into the Zelda series for some reason. I very much enjoyed OoT and MM, but I haven't played anything beyond that. LttP is just a classic game..I figured it could use the sprite treatment. I just don't have much of an attachment to the series.
I beat game one and two myself when I was a kid, kept playing it, though nothing recent. Mostly doing RPGs of late. Shin Megami Tensi and stuff. Did just(As in 10 hours ago) beat Infinite Space, a DS RPG from Sega. Really Cool space RPG tactical battle sim thing. Sadly, the ending is a bit of a let down, and the final boss is a push over. Does come with kinda a new game plus, and an extra mode. Extra mode has battles and power ups not used in the main story, including some really hard fights. It ends, pathetically, with the final boss again, and he's even worse in this mode, as the main game forces you to fight a few battles before getting up to him, allowing no rest, in Extra, he's literally right next to a save point. As for the New Game +, it saves only the money you've got on you, and stats you've gained. It gives you nothing for the ships you've bought, and you don't keep the ability to build ships, forcing you to gain them again through the story. Sucks muchly that.
