the people of this world are nearly bug sized and live, fittingly enough, in an ant hill like structure. they call themselves Hillanders, they usually resemble mammals or reptiles tho they are all the same species. they rarely venture away from their home in the hill, as being such small creatures they are prime targets to get crushed/eaten by various wildlife.
strongest inspiration for this story was Michael DeForge's Ant Colony comic, and i guess to a lesser extent Horton Hears A Who and Pixar's cancelled Gigantic movie. yes i can take inspiration from movies that technically don't even exist. I'm just that good.
