Take the Cane Train...
These are, without question, the most singular additions to my fleet. One-off, hand-built from tin can metal using old Marx mechanisms about 40 years ago by a local craftsman, Fred Lewis, and featuring scratchbuilt cane cars and a boxcar made of basswood on old Marx chassis.
Basically, these are narrow gauge trains built to 5/8" scale to run on standard Lionel track, and they run like champs! :D
ObFurry: Similar trains ran on Spontoon Island, as can be seen here...

my H0 layout makes less noise.
but I've also spend more on it and it is getting a standard place, 0 won't.
(Lionel does ship to the Netherlands from there online store, but since there trains are mostly metal, the shipping costs are rather high, and there are no stores that sell Lionel in the Netherlands)
