This is a song for
Vrghr, the rainbow-y gigantic dragonwolf. This was a very, very hard assignment for me to do because it forced me to break everything I knew about myself.
The descriptions he gave me amounted to yin and yang... black and white... oil and water. I decided on this grungy-type feel and absolutely fell in love with the groove line. It is absolutely unlike anything I've ever put out before. Who knows, I might not be able to do it again! But as you know, when you mix Oil and Water... you get rainbows! So I find it suiting for the big guy.
Thanks for pushing me to bend, and eventually break my boundaries, Vrghr. I appreciate you being so patient while you waited for me to try and wrap my head around something for you. :) Enjoy!

I like how you made the two parts distinct, but still matched them together. This is a lot different from anything I'd have expected you to write, but I like it. I think you might enjoy experimenting with a bunch of different styles, to see what you can create. I see music kind of how I see cooking. You can have a pile of ingredients and a variety of spices to work with, but it's the cook that brings them together and makes something unique. Very good job :)
In chatting with Flare on IM, we both agree to letting you explore your talents and inspiration with this. All Vargr asks is, could wuffy listen to the result if you decide to record it? It would be fun to hear another artist's interpretation or "take" on this!
This wuff has more details of character description is his pages here on FA, if you wish to go that route. Or Vargr would be more than happy to answer any questions - just note the wuffy here. Or feel free to go where-ever the muse may lead you!

LOOOOOVE It! *hugs the stuffin's outa the shire*
Wonderful work, Flare! And so unlike any of the tunes wuff has heard from you. Delightful mix of feelings between the steady driving base line and the soaring, fluid melody. Each quite different, but still blends so well.
Wuff can see two pictures in his mind as he lays back and listens with eyes closed:
In one, Vargr pads along a winding country road, little more than two packed tracks worn by the occasional vehicle with a light scrub plants between them. Paws swing along in steady, driving, mile-devouring wolf-trot; the easy yet inexorable pace of a traveling wuff calls forth the 'road music' beat of his paws falling to the base line of the song, while his senses and spirit drinks in the sweet melody, the singing sounds and scents of the land unfolding around him. Hills and valleys, birdsong and the sigh of wind across grasses and flowers. Colors and textures, and the wonder of what waits just beyond the next hill.
In the other, the wuff's wide wings scull easily upon the air, swinging down with each back-beat of the snare, heart and lungs playing in rhythm as he sails high across the sky. Before and below him, the land unrolls like an artist's canvas; farmer's fields in new-plowed brown, emergent green, fallow emerald speckled with wild flowers. Here and there a dusty country road crosses, intersections laying a grid of lines across the colors of the land. Shadows of clouds pass silently over homesteads and ranches. He pauses in his thoughts to drink in the sounds of life from below and around him, the grins and banks gently to catch the softly rising thermal, lifting him higher into the sunlit sky as he sails easily out of sight across the horizon.
The music is so evocative!
Wuff knows it was tough for you to capture the "yin and yang" of Vargr's personality. But you have done a remarkable job in this song. *HUGS CLOSE* Thank you so much for this expression of your talent! Vargr cherishes it!
