Thank you to Brandon Clegg for this commission of their character; Thessana.
This is a catfolk D&D character wielding a shield of throwing and a javelin of lightning.
I had an immense amount of fun achieving the lighting effects on the items and the general shading of this piece.
Creating the background was easier than I expected after a bit of research into fast and simple ways of implying a lot of movement and detail.
Thessana is a tough gal and tends to be the 'team mum' for her party, she is fiercely protective.

So all we need is some 'Rope of Entanglement' (or Manacles), plenty of spell slots/scrolls, and plenty of wisdom/constitution saves to see if she'll talk during interrogation ... what would you ask/interrogate her for: the location of her treasure hoard, the whereabouts of her traveling party, secrets of a dungeon, will you tell me the answer to this riddle, will you fight for me as my new best buddy, where are you most ticklish, can I draw you doing more action/heroic/dramatic/comedic things, etc? XD
As long as you have permission for Thessana's owner, then have at it. Or make an OC to play with. XD

Thessana sighed at the defeat of her lighting-wielding foe. No doubt her epic battle would serve her traveling companion the inspiration she was looking for. She had met this Akinyi some time ago, the young artistic travler had wanted to catch her mid battle in order to tell the tale of a strong and beautiful battle maiden. Though not quite used to the idea of a fan of hers following her was intrigued by the idea of someone chronicling her adventures and immortalizing her ... plus the money she accepted to let her tag along wasn't bad neither; perhaps it was time for her to have her own adventuring party. Never the less, the 'loner' in her felt is was time to move on shortly. She chuckled to herself <If she were my enemy I'd be prime picking for her, good thing she's my friend.> "Hey, Miss Akinyi, how was that? Did you get the action pose you were looking for."
"Yes, Miss Thessana. It was so epic. I'm gonna call this ... 'Dark Clouds of War.' I can't wait to chronicle your adventures."
"That means a lot. Well, I suppose I better hit the road soon. You can heal me, yes?"
"Yes I can , but first, how would you feel about modeling and posing for me for ... other 'works of art'?"
Thessana chuckled to herself "Heh Heh Heh, I'm flattered ... but I don't know if I'm cut out for that sort of thing. This was a fun experience, but I'm not sure."
"I think I can convince you to ... change your mind." Akinyi fluttered her eyes, trying to butter up to her new 'friend.'
Thessana blinked at the determination, or desperation, of this young artist. Still, she loved a challenge. "You just won't quit, will ya? Okay, I got some spare time. Make me yield in defeat, and you can be my artistic scribe. Be it a drinking game, gambling, or a test of speed/strength/endurance I will accept your challenge ... in exchange for coin/food/drink of course."
"A challenge of endurance! You win I pay double; I win you pose for me whenever/wherever/however I want ... and I still pay you."
"Very well, Akinyi, what do you propose ..." Thessana stopped mid-sentence as she saw something quite unsettling. Akinyi turned towards Thessana, a wicked grin across her face as she held up a paint brush in one hand and feathers in another. She licked her lips as she pondered whether to cast 'Tasha's Hideous Laughter' on the 'soon-to-be-hers' or to start with slow with the ears ... or belly ... or feet. <What should the next title be? A Warrior's Weakness? Test of Endurance? Sunny Clouds after War? Laughter is the Best Medicine? To the Victor Go The Spoils ... no, she technically won that battle ... oh wait, if I win then I'm the victor ... Failed Wisdom/Constitution Save ... no, too technical ... From Lady Knight in Shining Armor to Damsel In Distress ... no, she deserves better; she's badass ... oh this will be a toughy ... The Beginning of a Beautiful Friendship ... I hope so; if I win she can't kill me or get revenge ... can she? Maybe she'll learn to like it ... oh well, well worth it. :)>
Thessana froze and gulped at the uneasy sight of her illustrator's intent, failing to notice the 'Rope of Entanglement' approaching behind her as it uncoiled and approached quietly close to her hind paws. "W...W...Wait, what are you ..."
The paws are bound. SURPRISE ROUND TO AKINYI ... ROLL INITIATIVE!

*** BTW, we know you are a strong, talented, and beautiful lady, Miss Thessana, and we look forward to any and all future artworks of your battles/deeds/adventures/misadventures/etc. Still, every hero/heroine needs a weakness, it builds character. Your creator may not have this setback for your character as I know very little about you at the moment; this is just some 'silly fun'. Besides, what better weakness for a strong warrior than to be ticklish? XD ***
