NOTE: I was going to originally use Teen Beat or Bop for the magazine logo, but realized you can't get more furry than Tiger Beat! If I recall correctly, I think they even had a cute tiger mascot at one point! :)

TIGER BEAT may have had a tiger mascot, but I picked up a copy of "16" magazine from April, 1968, and whoever their art director was they certainly seemed to like funny animal characters. Cartoon critters and caricatures pop up throughout the issue, including a page of "current" celebrities drawn as furries (Jim Morrison, Leonard Nimoy and the Smothers Brothers, among others).
