This is a bit personal, but... As a kid I used to draw the entire goddamn time, until over night I started suffering from a severe panic disorder, which, among other things, made me unable to draw and be creative. It took three years of treatment, but I overcame it. I've been trying to get back into my old head space ever since, but it's like now that the storm has passed, only ruins of my creativity remain. I do my best to reconstruct it, but it's a battle as hard if not harder than overcoming the disorder itself. That's why it's very difficult for me to come up with things to draw and why I mostly just do commissions.

Ironically, making this drawing felt like the old times more than any other complete illustration in recent times. Especially because... I made a background!! Scenery! I mean, it could be a lot better but the point is that I managed to do this in my style and have fun with it! I've been trying to achieve that for years! So yeah a drawing about my biggest loss has helped me make the biggest progress in a while :)
