One kinda wonders if this kind of stereotyping will eventually lead to the death of all humanity as they eventually come to embrace the stereotype.

Exactly.

Speaking of self-fulfilling prophecies, I believe that I'm pretty vocal about evil AI in the mainstream media as being something that will most likely influence a lot of people in the real world to fear actual AI over. It's a shame, too, because we could have some absolutely amazing creatures that are feared and tormented simply because of their nature, because people are afraid of the unknown.

I know that this picture is meant to be silly, though, so it doesn't make me upset! I just needed my quick soapbox moment.

That might explain why in in the 1984 Marvel Super Heroes RPG. robots got a recuction in popularity much like mutants did (though not as severely)
