I bought this guitar in 2005, had it for a short while, then gave it to my son. The finish on this guitar is a deep wine color. Under normal room lighting, it can be difficult to see the beauty of the finish and the wood behind it. But when it is properly lit, as it was out in the sunshine, the gorgeous appearance really stands out.
