Folded by me in a painfully long time
I used one 140cm square of wenzhou cut in two halves
About a year ago, I saw this model for the first time on reddit and thought to myself "there's no way I'll ever be able to make this". One year (and a sore back) later, here I am !
Needless to say, this model took me a lot of time, I prepared the paper May 4th and finished it only yesterday. I initially tried to collapse it the "legit" way from the whole square but I collapsed the shoulder scales the wrong way like an idiot so I decided to cut the square in half after seeing someone else do this on an origami discord server. I also couldn't have done it without the guides, they were incredibly helpful.
I think 140cm is a good size for this paper if you want to make this model, the scales are about 7mm so pretty easy to shape amd so is the rest of the body. It's also small enough to work on it on a table or desk after collapsing the legs and transition units for the scales.
I guess I'll use that milestone to thank all of you for watching me and sending me all of those nice comments, it's awesome to be part of such a great community!
