Today's Recipe
/ Sweet Cornbread /

Most of you have probably had this. But have you ever wanted more from this fluffy bread?
Say no more. This recipe gives that extra softness and sweet to melt in your mouth.
Perfect with BBQ. >>

Ingredients

Baking spray with flour to grease pan
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1 cup all-purpose flour
2/3 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 egg
1 cup milk
1/3 cup butter
1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Spray a 11x7-inch rectangle or 9-inch round pan.
2. In a bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt and baking powder.
Stir in egg, milk, butter, and vanilla until well combined. Pour batter into prepared pan.
3. Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.

And you're done! Cut into squares and serve. ^^ Butter and honey is optional.
