Mostly for my reference.
Era looks MOSTLY like a normal noctowl, however her mid-brown feathers go a little further down her legs and her 'horns' are smaller than most noctowls' and more a 'v'. It's a little hard to tell here, but she has owl feet... Meaning she has two toes forward, one toe back and the fourth toe can swivel between facing forward and back.
Info on owlfeets!
I figure if I'm going to be drawing her, I might need some sort of guide to make sure it stays (mostly) consistent.
Also I have no idea why her IRIS grows in size in low light but not her pupils... But it's cool to draw. She's probably be drawn more in low light anyway. Her eyes reflect light but do not actually glow... Anyway, BIG RED DOOMY EYES are awesome. Also, she doesn't have the light markings around her eyes. Not sure why. Too many of my characters have eye markings, I suppose.
Here's a pic of a normal noctowl for comparison's sake.
Noctowls belong to Nintendo Game Freak... I just edited it a little.

I just named her Era because noctowl/hoothoot are time keeper Pokemon... And I wanted something time-y xD
Most words for measuring time make lousy names... And Chronos is too masculine.
Time, minute, hour, second, day, moment, age... I dunno. They didn't work for me. Era does, I think :>
