Been dabbling into potential for a Hollow Knight-styled OC for a good chunk of time, and after a long while, finally came around to the decision to try a wasp prince character, and thus, here he is.

Prince Covan, the exiled prince of a far-off kingdom lost to time, usurped from his position long ago during a coup that resulted in the deaths of the current Queen of their kingdom, and his sisters. Fleeing for his life, the prince found himself wandering the wastes, searching for a new place to call home. The only reminder of his home at this point is the ornate lance that he carries with him, and the brooch tied to his cloak, a symbol of his old kingdom. The piece of jewelry ties itself to the ancient magic of his kingdom, and promotes the growth of plantlife when it's magic is triggered. Most commonly, it spawns throned vines.

Personality:

Prince Covan is a reserved and quiet individual, soft in voice, but long in tongue, hardly making the first step in conversation, but overly attentive and thoughtful of those he speaks with and how best to interact with them. His life has led him to a degree of caution with others, but he is not in any regards quick to action. Moreso a gentle soul who would rather spend time with his own thoughts and the quiet ambiance of the world.

He has a deep disdain for outwards aggression, and will commonly flee if outright attacked with no provocation.

Fighting Style:

Prince Covan prefers a retaliatory style of combat, preferring to observe his opponents and react to openings in their defenses with precise strikes and slashes from his lance. He utilizes minimal pugilistic combat, preferring to let his lance do the work, to compliment his quick and lithe figure.

Should situations become dire, Prince Covan can utilize the energy from his brooch to sprout thorned vines along the length of his lance, creating a more deadly slashing weapon in the process. He is quick and precise, but also quick to flee if the situation gets out of hand.

Preferred Location:

Places of quiet or strong natural ambiance. Lush greenery and the life that comes with it is a personal favorite of his.
