I am reminded of a video I saw a little while back, where a young raccoon fell out of the nest, and the mother had to go retrieve it. This would have been a fairly straightforward task it seems--had the *other* baby in the nest not decided to start screeching the moment the mother was out of sight! She spent at least 10 minutes going between the baby on the ground (which was totally fine, by the way, just chillin' and looking around a bit) and the one up in the nest pitching a fit!
Now, *that* is a little brat--couldn't even let mom retrieve the sibling without throwing a tantrum!
