A cool mist filled the air as a new day dawned over Sunnybrook Park.
“Hey, Meezoo,” whispered a very toon-like dino-duck as he peered through a bush. “Is that who I think it is?”
Meezoo, a stylish, toon penguin with a blue scarf around his neck waddled out from out of the bush.
The dino-duck’s eyes bulged as his arm stretched like a rubber band to snatch the diaper-clad penguin.
“Hey!” yelped Meezooas he waved his flippers and glared at Yosh. “Why are you getting your diapers all in a bunch?”
The green-and-white colored dino-duck, who was wearing a comically large, tapeless white diaper with duck prints adorning it, looked back at his penguin pal.
“My diapers don’t bunch,” he said with irritation.
Meezoo used his flipper to pull at his friend’s diaper until it was stretched out to three times its normal bulk before allowing it to snap back.
“Yeowch!” the dino-duck cried.
The playful penguin proceeded to quickly and playfully use his flippers to slap at the dino-duck’s feathery, white cheeks.
“I was being figurative,” he stated upon finishing his slap-happy bevy on his green-scaled friend. “How can you ever hope to get a date with Pluie if you act like a bubble head, Yosh.”
Yosh sighed before grabbing at the sides of his diaper, hiking it up over his tummy bulge, and letting it go to only result in it returning to its original position around his waist.
“You’re right, Meezoo,” he said with determination.
“Glad you finally see that,” the plucky penguin said as he shoved his friend through the bush and onto the path that a gorgeous duck with all white feathers was walking along.
“Oof!” she quacked as she tripped over the dino-duck bump on the path. Fortunately her talents allowed her to spin around and make a safe fall onto her diapered bottom. “What gives?”
Yosh blushed as his beak was now pointed straight at her diaper’s front.
“Yosh!” the girl duck gasped while quickly taking to her feet and stomping her galoshes down upon his beak.
Yosh responded in toon fashion by acting like one of those garbage cans that open up after his beak was stomped. This made him quickly spin about in mid-air until he was on his feet and facing the blonde-haired duck with a massive blush across his face.
“Hey, Pluie,” he greeted nervously. “Seems I’m still a bit clumsy.”
Pluie shrugged while noting how Yosh was wearing a blue pair of water shoes instead of her boot-like galoshes.
“Yosh E. O’Dodo,” she stated while gesturing to his feet. “I thought you were going to buy some rainboots when you got your allowance?”
The dino-duck nervously fidgeted his fingers over his chest.
“I haven’t been able to get to the mall,” he said in defense. “I’ve been, uh, busy.”
The duck wasn’t buying what Yosh was trying to sell.
“C’mon!” she quacked while snatching one of his hands and hauling him away as if he was weightless. “We’re getting you galoshes!”
Meezoo popped out of the bush and chuckled.
“Young love,” he swooned while the sound of a woodpecker bashing its beak against a tree could be heard close by. “And that’s my cue to get out of here.”
Meezoo disappearedin a gust of wind.
The mall was a fair distance away from the park at the center of Sunnybrook Park. However Pluie’s determination, coupled with her slip-proof rainboots, ensured she and Yosh arrived at the very moment Meezoo had darted away from the danger of being found by any one, or both, snarky woodpeckers who also took residence in the city park.
“We should get you a shirt while we’re here,” stated Pluie as she flung Yosh towards the mall’s entrance. He then opened the door for her as she continued to say, “Your chest feathers just don’t do well with grass stains covering them.”
Yosh found himself staring at Pluie’s grass-stained, diapered backside.
“Hey!” she called while rushing back towards the dino-duck, pulling out his diaper, and quickly snapping it back. “Focus! We’re on a mission!”
Yosh blushed as the two waddled into the mall’s interior.

Lots of different creatures roamed the halls of the mall. However, in large part, none wore diapers. If they did, they were not wearing them as openly as the pair were.
“A little old to be in diapers,” one of the humans stated in a mocking tone.
Pluie’s eyes narrowed as she tore off the rude man’s pants with a quick snatch and toss.
“Says the big man wearing flower-print boxers,” she teased back.
“Hey!” the man replied. However he didn’t get to say much more as Pluie leapt up and covered the guy’s face with his own pants.
“Shall we go?” Pluie winked towards Yosh while stretching out her hand.
Yosh smiled and clasped Pluie’s hand.
“Let’s,” he agreed while the rude human made a scene worthy of many patrons’ smart phone cameras.

The pair waddled together until they came across a kiosk being run by a white-furred feline.
“Pardon me,” she said with a slight Latino accent. “May I interest you lovebirds in a stain pen?”
Yosh and Pluie blushed, gasped, faced each other, realized they were holding hands, and quickly put each hand they were using to hold the other’s behind their backs.
“Lovebirds?” Yosh questioned bashfully.
“Oh!” the cat gasped upon noticing the two toons who barely came up to the height of her kiosk counter. “I apologize as I was talking to those two lovebirds who decided to keep on walking instead of stopping.”
Pluie and Yosh saw two lovebirds scampering away in an attempt to appear as if they didn’t hear the feline’s offer.
“Oh, well,” the cat purred. “A customer is a customer.”
“Do you give samples?” Pluie asked.
The cat’s eyes narrowed.
“Of course,” she said while taking one of her pens, jabbing it towards Yosh’s chest, and pulling it back as the grass stains on his feathers were removed and sucked into the pen.
“So,” the cat purred. “You two interested in a stain removing pen?”
“It would help you,” Pluie stated as she lifted her rimless cap and took hold of her purse. “How much?”
The cat’s eyes returned to normal.
“Five jangles,” she stated in a far more professional tone.
Pluie plucked out three coins and tossed them up on the counter.
“You pay the other half,” she told Yosh.
The dino-duck pulled open his diaper to feel for his coin purse.
“Three jangles is fine,” the cat shuttered. “Have a nice day.”
Yosh had found his coin purse and was going to pull it out to pay for his part of the stain pen.
“Are you sure?” he asked while gesturing down to his hand in his diapers. “I’ve got the jangles.”
“I’m sure,” the cat cried. “Now scram!”

Pluie was still giggling over how they got a discount on the stain pen.
“We’re toon ducks,” she stated while ushering Yosh into a clothing store. “Wearing diapers doesn’t mean we use diapers.”
Yosh nodded while looking at his coin purse.
“They are for fashion,” he added. “Not function.”
“Speak for yourself,” Pluie replied. “I pride myself on keeping my feathers squeaky clean. Everything stains on white.”

A short montage of Yosh having shirts and rainboots put on him prior to paying for the items and leaving the mall ensues.

As the pair leave the mall, the sun is shining and all signs of water in the air and on the ground appears gone.
“
“Ah, quackers!” pouted Pluie. “We missed all the fun of being in galoshes.”
“I think it is going to rain tonight,” replied Yosh with a smile. “So tomorrow morning will be perfect for being all ducky in the park.”
Pluie glared at yosh before pulling a mallet from behind her back and slamming it down upon the dino-duck’s head.
“And you’ll be seeing stars until then, you dodo!” she stated. “That’ll teach you to spend a non-ducky day goofing around with Meezoo instead of preparing for ducky weather.”
Yosh saw little stars and baby chicks in diapers around his head as his blue eyes rolled about.
“Got it,” he said with defeat.
Pluie took Yosh’s hand.
“Oh, you know you love it,” she smirked. “You only hurt the ones you love.”
Pluie took the dazed Yosh by the hand and they headed back to the park to do a bit of dabbling in the large pond.

Thanks for taking a look at this first-ever foray into writing as if I was making an episode of 'Tiny Toon Adventures'. (My imagination goes back to those early 90s times to make this kind of material work)
<LoL!> That scene with the cat was so 'spur of the moment'. It's one of the best examples I have, at current, of the story writing itself. Plus, for extra fun, I borrowed the currency from My Little Pony Tales, which is also an early 90s cartoon. :)
If you have any ideas for additional episodes, please let me know. Toothpick / Meezoo liked this and, truly, I think I need some 'slapstick' to offset all this negative energy going around with politics and COVID.

That was great! You've got a real knack for cartoon storytelling. I really enjoy this dynamic between Pluie and Yosh.
Pluie is usually gentle and sweet, but it's also nice to see her slapstick side brought out when she feels the occasion is appropriate.

Oh, Pluie is being sweet. Just in a way that she knows will get Yosh to not be so bubble-brained. (Girls always have a way with guys when they are getting to see if friendship will result in relationship)
It was a lot of fun thinking of 'toon moments' for the pair to engage in. I even had fun throwing in some silly jokes that kids, like Pluie and Yosh, would not understand that adults, like the cat, decided to go in the entire wrong direction with. (If you are curious, I borrowed the monetary system from My Little Pony Tales, which came out in 1992)

I was not 100% sure if Tina, Toothpick, and Pattycake exist in the same world as Pluie and Meezoo. However, if they do, I'd like to make a future episode with the fox and playful woodpeckers involved in it. :)

Oh, yay! *Snugs* I thank you for taking some time to read this first foray into making a cartoon-like story. Pluie was a character I found so cute back in 2015 and, kindly, Meezoo made me a pic of Yosh and Pluie together before I went into the surgeries of 2016.
If you have any ideas for another 'toon' story, I'm open as I like experimenting with this latest incarnation of Yosh. :)

Thank you, Leon. I, as I'm trying to do more for self-soothing, did this entire story in a single sitting while just trying to play it out like an episode of "Tiny Toon Adventures".

Pluie is a character that PaddedMeezoo / 
Meezoo created and shared around 2014 and 2015. I kind of had Yosh crush on her and did write a story back in, I think, 2015 entitled "Digimon: Diaper squad" to bring Yosh, Pluie, Meezoo, and another friend, who was a Digimon, into a fun story.
Meezoo is more active on twitter as 'Toothpick'. (I joined more actively in Twitter as Lil Moon, my cozy glow maker, is easier to follow there. I then noticed Meezoo / Toothpick more active there along with some other friends I lost track of.)
Pluie, according to what Meezoo / toothpick told me, disappeared in 2017. The last picture I saw of her was gift art made by Meezoo before I went into the 'downward spiral' surgeries in 2016. It featured Pluie giving Yosh a kiss on the cheek in a photo booth without him expecting it.

*Hoof Palms* Kazootles! YouTube is such a bother in how you just never know when something is going to be removed from it. I suppose people do purge their accounts on YouTube, but it is still bothersome to have a perfectly good piece of reference material become inaccessible.
