I'm so sorry, Zeis. Peanut was such a lovely little girl. I have gone through my own experiences like yours with a vet visit that started optimistic and then took a turn. Having been through that heartbreak to lose a beloved companion, I really cannot adequately express my sorrow for you.
I have heard it said that the best ones always leave paw-prints on your hearts. I see that Peanut was no exception. I can see that every day Peanut was with you was a day for her that was filled with kind words, warmth, gentle caresses, safety, good food, love and mutual joy. I can tell you, based on my experiences, that while Peanut may not be with you any more on this plane, she will always be part of your memory. She will walk in your shadow, always.
Perhaps in the future, if you're quick enough when you turn around, you might just catch a glimpse of her nose or her rump at the edge of your vision.
But with certainty I can tell you that by sharing her and your shared story with us, a small piece of her will become immortal in all of our memories.
My sorrow, and my support.
