...and Remy conquered her fear of picking up spiders.
This spider had been hanging out in my room and bathroom for a while, and i decided it was time for him to move out. So...I let him crawl onto my hand and put him outside. I does not mean I will not still scream when I walk through a spider web. X3
Btw I named him George right before I kicked him out.

common brown household spider. teeny litle sucker. i get way bigger ones here. :)
i find it funny that people are so scared of spiders. granted i would jump if one was in my bed, but for the most part, we scare them more since we're so big. Except wolf spiders. those damned things are scared of NOTHING. o.0

usually they willl leave you alone since youre too big to make a proper meal and waaaaaaaay too big to make the effort worthwhile. But if you happen to pose a threat to one...lookout.
i find most animals are like that. if you look like too much of an effort, theyll leave you alone. unless youre a threat or theyre starving, youre pretty safe.

You, ma'am ... are a VERY brave woman. I had one of a similar species in my house that was big enough to barely fit o top of a quarter. The legs were longer and it was more of a reddish brown with less gray ... and was FEROCIOUSLY aggressive! I could SEE it trying to bite the glass cup I had over it as I slipped an index card under him. I was trembling so hard I could barely keep the glass steady. At the time, I thought it was a brown recluse of some kind, but in retrospect, it prolly wasn't. All the same, the fear of being bitten chilled me to the bone. Yeah, most woulda smooshed him out of personal preservation ... but it's not his fault that I find him terrifying. >_>;;
i get those in my window all the time. I name them. What funny is when i get my head next to window where its at it runs away and hides. But im scared to death of a spider. I had one of those get on my leg and while i was playing my DS i saw it crawling up my leg and i screamed and slapped it. I wouldnt get off my bed till my parents came home
Very brave! Although I love and respect spiders from observing them, I still have a hard time getting the nerve to touch them. The only ones I can handle are granddaddy long legs (harvestmen) or little jumpers/hunters, which I find uber adorable with those gigantic eyes. Maybe I'll get the guts to handle a wolf spider someday...before my mom kills it.
I have them in my appartment and someone with such arachnaphobia like me shouldnt be living alone during the rainy season.... I defenatly wouldnt pick one up.... *Shivers* I was at a job once and wouldnt come out of the office til one of the Venders killed it... it was huge.... I would probably mess with a Camel spider tho... cause those look cool... and arent really spiders... lol....
