I think...That if you wanted to go in a dance direction, that the pads are going to sound really great after a bit of side chained compression, and the lyrical idea that develops near the end of the piece can either serve as a brief thematic idea before a build up to higher dance energy, or it might work out as a really beautiful portion of a break.

I think if I were to try and explore this idea myself, I'd probably begin by laying down some percussion, seeing if that feels right, and then write an alternative melodic idea (or an elaboration on it) that can serve as a nice thematic hook.
