Brief backstory:

Gadrien was taken in by House Botamy under the assumption he was a bastard to the Lord of the House. There was much speculation during his youth and it was never confirmed Gadrien was a bastard. Regardless, he stayed at the Botamy Keep as a servant. When he was a young man, he wooed and married young Lady Godfrey. Their marriage was short lived, as Lady Godfrey fell ill two years into their marriage and perished. Gadrien began serving the crown and studying alchemy. He specializes in mutagens and necromancy.
