I'm actually refreshing what I've learned in my 3d class with this tutorial of Joanne of arc. I don't intend to animate it. But so far, the result is fun. So If you;re a 3d artist too. I'd really like to hear from you. :)

I'm a bit of a 3D artist, though I've never tried very hard at "organics" (plants, people, animals) as I'm better with scenery...
(hence most of my gallery here on FA)
With that said, I think she looks great!
(granted, a little low on the polygon count, but that means it'll be easy to embed in a game, right? )

Not bad. Not bad at all.
May I suggest also looking at
littledragon and 
mapper? The do a lot of 3D work.
