Everything was settled. Nikki was ready to cross Anger Mouse’s name off their friend list after checking in with them one last time.
“Wow, you did a great job out there.” Nikki smiled, leaning herself curiously in front of the mouse-rat. “I’m really impressed!”
“UH? Haha. Hey, thanks and... STUFF!” His voice was so awkward now. It was starting to change, and had random loud bursts between words.
“So...” she looked down at the paper, “are you happy? All done being an angry mouse?” Anger looked confused for a moment and shook his head.
“What’re you TALKING about? Being ANGRY isn’t something that stops...” Anger Mouse filled her in, “I LIKE being angry. It’s FUN! Being calm and happy all the time would be BORING.” Nikki couldn’t believe what she was hearing. “AND there are ALWAYS gonna be things out there that MAKE ME MAD.”
The mouse had a point! Problems and frustrations will always exist. But... it still seemed strange that anyone would like being angry. Maybe that’s what made this mouse unique? He could take pleasure in something that most wouldn’t enjoy.
“BUT...” Anger Mouse tried to show his front teeth as he smiled, “I feel like my life got a LITTLE better today.” Nikki felt a warm glow in her chest, thinking that was the best she’d ever hear from him. “BUT WE’LL SEE. Who KNOWS what’ll piss me off tomorrow. Not like they’re gonna let me outta JAIL just because I WON, heh heh heh...”
Nikki would never see this version of Anger Mouse again, and Anger Mouse would never know that Nikki was watching over him all this time, trying to ensure his happiness. Hopefully it made up for forcing Dawn back into his life (Nikki was still dealing with that problem herself.) They were a silent team. If they reset, they’d forget everything that happened, and be strangers again.
Anger Mouse began to walk away, lead by his prison guard. The little kid gave a shy, dorky wave to Nikki as he left the stadium. “BYE BYE...”
Nikki crossed Anger Mouse’s name off the list.
The tournament was over. It was late at night, most the animals had already gone home. Nikki went up to the roof, wondering if Dawn would be there. Everything felt so happy, this could be the perfect ending. It wasn’t only good for Anger Mouse, Nikki thought it was good for Dawn too! She sat down on the roof, looking over the city while she waited.
“Nikki...”
The tanuki turned around, watching Dawn float towards her.
“Dawn, are you alright? Wasn’t that a good ending to the tournament?” Nikki smiled, slightly eager to please. Dawn sat her tired body beside her friend.
“I am. It was.” Dawn closed her eyes. “I found out. So much about. Who I am. Why I am. I know now. Why my past. Was so awful.”
Nikki gently pet Dawn’s back.
“I do not. Want to reset.” Dawn took a breath from her dog nose, “But. We have to.”
Nikki’s eyes went wide in panic. “But it’s so good right now! Anger is happy! You’re happy. Couldn’t we...” Nikki racked her brain, “Can’t we hold off on the reset? We can prolong it for days, and years... we can just live out our lives as long as we can, and pretend we’re going to do it eventually, but not!”
Dawn shook her head. “We cannot. It is not. Up to me. Anymore.”
The paper in Nikki’s hand started to glow.
“I wish that. We saved. An ending. Like this. For last...” Dawn looked up to the stars, “After the reset. I will still. Remember it all.” Her tail-end wrapped behind Nikki, “You only remember. Some things?”
“And what about the others?” Nikki frowned, her friends never remembered anything. She didn’t want Anger Mouse’s victory to be a waste. If she had to help other boxers win, he’d never learn everything they discovered tonight, and she couldn’t remember enough to tell him. He’d never be this happy again. Having to reset after all this work was harder than she’d imagined.
“They will. Remember nothing.” Dawn shook her head, “Probably... nothing. But... We will see.”
Nikki started to rip the friend list apart in anger.
Nikki looked up at Dawn with a proud smile, willing to see if that’d stop the reset. However, Dawn’s eyelids started to close as the ghost dog became drowsy. Nikki started to feel the same haze over herself. She tried not to fall asleep, but in the end, the two dozed off.
As the sun began to rise
And the night turned into dawn
Everything was reset
Back to day one

Kazootles! Now there is a side of Anger Mouse I never thought I'd see. He also had a nice little moral, even if he never intended to have one, in his 'Happy End'.
Anger is a part of what makes everyone who they are. If you are happy all the time, well, you are not genuinely 'happy'. There needs to be the entire rainbow of emotions to know what each emotion and actions 'Yin & Yang' is.
For example, Anger could be sad. Those who are sad will fall to depression and not reach for what they know is well within their rights to have. Anger had, uh, anger due to how he needed to satiate a long overdue grudge with Nishi and Fuxie from having been discarded, torn to shreds, nearly pulverized by Baby Furs, and getting arrested along with Foxy / Anomolly. The anger kept him determined to see that all he went through was not for nothing. He got his chance and, with a sorrowful Nishi, did what he had needed to do alongside his plush 'room mate', Dawn.
Though, I do believe having Thanksalot, Nikki, Dawn, and Cooni / Faux farewell together can definitely result in a 'time merger' where all timelines are melded together to where they may be one set 'winner', but everyone still retains the memories of what they gained for themselves as a result of having gotten to make the most important victory, 'self-achievement' and 'personal growth'.

Ah, nuts. I guess Yosh's playtime with Momma Mac is now but a lost memory. Though, for each time she is 'launched out' from the finals, I can see Yosh acting in an infinite loop of having a little old to go with his young. ;)

I'm guessing you must get more comments from discord, or on the official site, as you have quite a lot going on in this little finale. Anger's one-on-one with Nikki really made his character, dare I say it, 'lovable' despite all the things he had done prior to finding his 'ahppy place'.

Oh! I forgot how, like Cooni / Faux Farewell, we also have the benefit of Dr. Ama and Yuaad. Something tells me that, even if most memory is lost, both Cooni and Dr. Ama get as much 'deja vu' during the resets as Nikki does.

And yeah! Part of my challenge or goal is to make my characters all likable, so we can enjoy seien' them happy! I hope in real life, everyone could be good and happy if things worked out for them. Even grumpy lil Anger Mouse could smile, or feel sad, or enjoy having friends if things worked out for him. I wanted to show he could be a cute dorky lil kid if things improved for him. Haha, with how many diaper furs seem to have childhood issues where they don't get to feel like a kid, I can only imagine what Anger Mouse has ahead of him!
Some people enjoy the hard parts of life! I usually feel calm and happy, so sometimes I do feel a lil bit of joy in being sad, or think it's interesting when something actually makes me angry. Some people love drama, or enjoy negativity - it's weird, but we all have negative things we can handle, or enjoy.
I hope ya enjoy the stuff ahead with Thanksalot, Nikki, Cooni, Faux, etc! We've at least seen a few resets and how they generally work, but now we'll find out what it's like going back to the start after making it all the way to the end! It'll be a bit of a mystery how exactly those work, and what happens to the people/worlds in each reset after, but everything should get answered by the very end.
On the plus side, if Yosh ever finds out about the resets, he could enjoy doing whatever until the very end of them! A bit like Majora's mask I guess, before time's up, see what you can do with the pengy!
And oh yeah - I post Boxer Beats in 7 different places! First on boxer-beats.com, then I can paste that link into Discord (where most friends check first) and then Twitter, the rest are a bit more work so after it's individually pasted on Tumblr, FurAffinity, InkBunny, and Deviantart. (The last two take extra time, so sometimes I don't even post those til a day or week later! Whenever I gotta upload BB I basically set aside an evening of reposting. @w@ You're the main FurAffinity commenter!)
Funny enough you bring up Dr. Ama's story, his has been going really slow, and is where I've been stuck for a while. I've already had to re-write his a lot of times, balancing his serious history, the goofier Boxer Beats writing, explaining his and Yuaad's sorta complex character, and also not-explaining it to keep it simple and casual for folks to read, and not just unloading a ton of detail no one asked for, haha. But hopefully it'll be fun when it's ready.
And you're not far off with the image art! This time it's Anger Mouse as he looks back, holding up his pants, and waving "bye bye" to Nikki. Don Badge and Messy Bunny are in the glowy yellow-y background as he heads towards the exit - and that yellow color fades into Nikki's sad eyes/mask in the background, watching him go away, knowing they won't see each other like this again.
This took way too long to draw just because Anger Mouse's face is hard to make the right amount of happy. He usually has a naughty chaotic smile on him - so I had to do something like a smaller gentle smile, a hint of his teeth, light blush, and more circular eyes with a little sad worry to em - rather than his pointy sharp angry animal eyes. I think that alone added a week to the art, oops! B3

The fact you take so much time to share this work shows not only your commitment to it, but also how much you care about reaching your audience as a whole. I certainly enjoy promoting it as it has been a major project I've followed for nearly a decade. :)
Tacki has also been working on a similar work entitled "Children Of Maeria". He was going strong for quite awhile until life needed more direct attention. However, after a nearly 8 year hiatus, he's back and furthering the story. So you and I are not the only ones keeping old projects alive through our respective time availability and efforts.

I would hope that Anger Mouse would not find himself being like Bubba Babyfur as a result of all his traumas. I know my traumas lead to me becoming a BF. I also know there are a lot of others in the BF community that became this way due to 'broken childhoods' along with 'psychological trauma'. Anger is far too cool to fall into such a state. I'd like to think he'd take to boxing, in the jail gym, while talking things out with a prison psychiatrist to come to terms now that he finally got to release all his pent up anger against Nishi and Fuxie.
Perhaps, briefly, Anger may consider trying to 'reclaim his youth'. However, if I were to play it out, I'd see him hooking up with Bubba Babyfur's crew, starting to take in the scene before him, and hauling tail out of there as he realizes that is not what he wants to be associated with. You'd then have Don and Anomolly ask how his 'therapy session' went with Anger giving a response saying nothing short of, "It stunk and I'm swiping left.". :)

For me, as I did not get the help I needed when I was younger, I must accept being a BF / DL as who I am. I have tried to not be one for the sake of a marriage and failed. I now try to educate my lil' Peep in how important it is to build his 'self-esteem' and find outlets that are more healthy for him to alleviate anxiety. (Side effects of my stuffs are no fun and include, but are not limited to, teenie-weenie, weight gain, and inability to lose weight. Plus I get those loathable 'brain shocks' every now-and-then. Ugh!)
Though, for those of us that being a BF works for, it's okay as, for the most part, most keep it 'under control' to where we don't annoy others with our cutesy, padded antics. Plus, thanks to you, I am happy to take my diaper off. *Blushes and giggles like a girl*

Fortunately, for a time, we didn't have anything for Kiwi, Chris, and Stan and, well, you knocked it out of the park with them. So take your success with Kiwi, Stan, Chris, and even Ready to get Dr. Ama and Yuaad ready for their big return. Perhaps you could just allow the doctor and his 'better half' do some exposition during his match? He could just talk a bunch of jargon about knowing Don, having kids, and merging with Yuaad as he battles with more interest in getting himself noticed in the scientific community and world at large? If he uses R34P3R to battle for him, he could easily play with his joystick and buttons while making a speech while his creation puts on the beatdown. :)
