I've got more experience with still photography than videography, so I've never worked with a steadycam rig before -- but from what I've heard through the grapevine, some of them might as well be a real-life boss fight for how much of a hassle they are to work with.
Personally, I'm fine with a tripod. Landscapes don't tend to move around much while I'm setting up the shot.
