When Luke realized he was the first of a new generation of Jedi, it must have been a heavy burden. But as in life, sometimes our greatest burdens can be transformed into our most precious gifts. He's spoken of as a legend in 'The Force Awakens,' and I can't think of any honor greater than being seen as a hero and inspiration to others, and definitely not a decrepit old man who hates life, drinks alien manatee milk, and dies because he's tired.
