This raises a very important question... *why* is there a rubber ducky in an alley in the middle of the city?
I suppose I have seen weirder things, though, so it wouldn't be too surprising... unless the world he's from doesn't have ducks, in which case, why is there an alien artifact in an alley in the middle of the city?
This is a valid consideration--I never made ducks part of the canon of his world and it's not a parallel Earth so their presence can't be assumed.
This is the sort of weird discussion world-building can lead to, I guess.

Same here. I was 1 year old, when I used to steal cookies, except the thing was, they were in a jar. I would climb the dining room chairs at my Grandma Coyote's house, and try to get the cookie jar, after a while, my Pa Coyote put it on the highest shelf....oh...the torture for me, a tiny coyote pup...;(. And if u think the story ends there nope. My Grandpa Coyote was my hero. He was a tall, sneaky, and crafty Coyote, so he and me would watch tv eating cookies from the jar until my Pa came in.
