materials: glue, paper, masking tape, a wire coat hanger, wire cutter
also as you like: fur material, eyes, wig, hat
step 1:get your materials together and put your coat hanger in front of you
step 2:bend the coat hanger so that the two loops are together
step 3:bend the top part so you could put it on your face (and it would fit)
step 4:tape the ends together, this will be your snout of nose.
step 5:bend the back of your mask into a V shape for under your chin
step 6:use the wire cutters to clip off the hook (be careful!)
step 7:your hanger should look roughly like this now
step 8:bend the nose part to the angle or style you like
step 9:look it over to make sure it's mostly even, don't fret too much with this
step 10:tape up the sides and bottom of the mask first, don't do it too tightly.
step 11:look over the mask to make sure you like the angle and stuff
step 12:try it on! add paper scraps to keep the tape from sticking to you.
step 13: (not shown!) once it's been taped over completely you can add paper mache or fur/fabric material with fabric or all purpose glue. cut eyes and ears/nose before adding fabric or more mache as you can tape over mistakes. I'm making a protoceratops mask right now, and when it's done I'll have a link here. you can also attach this to a hat or other mask to keep it on your head better, or use a ski mask to make it a full face, with another hanger for horns/ears.
for the back cheeks of the mask you can also use wire, string of whatever to sculpt them if you want them to stick out.
I'll have a full-face demo if anyone wants it, just ask.
materials: glue, paper, tape
ear directions: roll the ear tip part like you would a cone, but stop short and glue as you like.
disclaimer: if you hurt yourself, sorry! >.> I'm not liable..... but please be careful with the sharp stuff!
