As Craddock finally finished lighting all the candles in the chamber with a small puff of fire breath for each, he made himself comfortable by taking a seat in the center of it, surrounded by material for reference or study. He opened his book - which wouldn't be blank for much longer - and dipped his gryphon quill into some giant squid ink, and set to work.
There's nothing he won't try and tackle. Fantasy is his favorite and something easy to fall back on, but he will write anything from poetry to tragedy to comedy to love. All of them have their own unique place in life, and from each of them a lesson to learn. For in a dragon's long life, there will inevitably be many experiences and inspirations that simply demand to be put down onto paper.
This is easily one of the best pieces in my gallery so far. I have admired the style of the artist - Gaia - for a while now. And when they finally opened up commissions to the public for the first time since I found them, I had to apply for a full scene. And to my pleasant surprise, they chose me! They were super nice and friendly throughout the process, and I think the final result speaks for itself! It's absolutely wonderful! So please, go check out Gaia on twitter @ Meroaw

And one final little note: This piece is actually meant to reflect me as a person more than it is meant to reflect Craddock, my sona. Craddock isn't actually an avid writer. He knows how to read and write of course, and can appreciate a good book and will write something if he really wants to, but he would prefer to express his creativity via craftsmanship. For myself, however, I do enjoy writing all sorts of genres despite being an engineer! And I wanted a piece to reflect that!
Plus I just really like the aesthetic of a dragon in a library tbh
