Recently, I obtained a copy of Persona 3 for the PS2. I've got to say, it's been pretty damn fun.

From a Game Design point of view, I admire the game. Essentially, by incorporating elements from Dating Sims into a tower-based Azure Dreams style JRPG, it gives that great impression of freedom and individualisation which I feel is normally lacking in the JRPG genre.

You control your adorably moody little Japanese kid around in his High School life, establishing and strengthening social links (which strengthen your powers,) studying for tests and fighting evil soul-eating monsters every other night. It's sort of like Bleach meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Oh and to use your special Persona powers, you point a gun-shaped device at your head and blow a bit of your soul out. Which is... brilliant. It never stops being jarring but there's just no getting around it. You carry a sword, but you're just a high school kid. Great device.

All of the above sounds like a recipe for disaster, but it's great. Honestly.

Anyways, the game inspired me to do this picture. I felt it appropriate in that way only whimsicality provides, to recast the members of S.E.E.S. as one of my friends.

I could have done more characters, but I ran out of space and patience.

I did balls this up a bit in places. I suppose I'm rusty (six months since a real submission, the guilt is all mine.) The colour could have been better. I tried using coloured pencils. You can never have enough coloured pencils? Well I certainly fucking don't. My Fur is meant to be brick-red, for the record. z: )

Also, colouring two characters with white fur is a pain in the bum. I could have gone for the green Raichu thing with Freaky, but he'll always be a small white mouse to me. ^.^

I did the background with GIMP. It's probably a bit of a muchness.

Hmmm... now to try this keyword system for the first time...
