The key feature of Hengeyokai, they are intelligent animals which have the ability to take human shapes, however their human forms still tend to share features with their animal form.
This here is Cedric's human form, his kind are pretty rare around so he prefers to meet people as a human, makes for easier discussions and it is technically not a disguise. His human form is as much him as his hare form, a physical change that is no illusion.

He somehow looks even more gentlemanly as a human than a hare, funny how that works.
