I don't like it. Any non-Brit doesn't understand it. Brits probably don't care/don't find it funny. Let's just move on.

Bit of character development here; Shane would actually punch Cameron, with no thoughts as to the ramifications. This is not due to any political standing (Shane doesn't care/know about politics enough to bother with that) but just because he thinks Cameron is a smarmy lying git. Just like the rest of us.
Trey would want to punch Cameron, but if the situation ever arose would probably prefer to have a heated debate with him. As such, you can quite safely take the stabbing comment as a joke. Trey is quite politically minded, but does not support any of the three major British parties in particular. He dislikes the Conservatives, but this is NOT due to a particular love of Labour/Lib-dem. In the current political climate, Trey would be likely to vote Independant.

Yep! It's odd now that he's allied with Lib-Dems (My party of preference), because he'll make decisions that... well, not that I like, but that are pleasingly moderate for a Con leader, and I'll just about start thinking "Huh, maybe I've been a little harsh on him..."
Then he gets up and does a speech about his decision.
It usually takes about half a second for me to go "Aaah. Now I remember why I think he's a lying smarmy dick".
