This beautiful specimen of a snake is a green tree boa. I think the reason I enjoyed taking this shot so much is that A: it turned out very well even with the flash off, and B: the snake didn't even look real; it never moved, blinked, or flicked its tongue. It looked so inanimate that for a second, if you didn't pay attention, you thought it was fake. But if you paid attention, it almost imperceptibly would move its tail or curl itself over the branch just a teeny bit...
